Part of the ever lasting quest to figure out ways how organizations work, I ended up talking with some friends of mine how they set goals and find alignment across team and up the organization ladders. That lead me to read about OKRs.
What are OKRs? In short, they are a lightweight system to set goals and ways to measure progress towards them. Turns out that there is a whole philosophy behind them as well, and thus I better direct you to a more credible source than what I am.
Beauty of this system is that it can take a lot of subjectivity out of evaluations of design artifacts and it helps teams to share the same goals instead of siloing based on different disciplines. And key to a high performing product team is to, well, work as a team.
